EXECUTIVE PROFILE MOSA MASIMENE

Ms Mosa Masimene has a colourful background in the Built Industry encompassing both public and private sector She is a seasoned Quantity Surveyor with vast experience accumulated over a period of 25 years, 15 years be that of senior management positions

She has an impressive resume and reputation of being a head strong leader Her career started at Farrow Laing Quantity Surveyors as a junior quantity surveyor She later joined Nu-Gro International Projects where they were requested to construct 1264 houses to remedy the Giyani Floods Those houses were built and fairly distributed She worked for Ekhuruleni Metropolitan Municipality as a Project Implementation Manager from 2003 until 2009 Her career path further commenced with her working as an Executive Manager for Property and Institutional Support from 2009 to 2013 She was then a Regional Manager in Gauteng for Rendeals Four Consulting from 2013 until 2015 She advanced her path by joining Maluleke Luthuli Development Planners Urban Dynamics in Gauteng as a Director Her destiny led her to her current designation of being Head of Department for Free State Human Settlements.

Ms Masimene is known for her gallant persona and comes as a beacon of hope for fellow Free Staters who have been anticipating positive change in service delivery from the Department of Human Settlements This department plays a pivotal role in the value chain of Free State Provincial Government Its mandate is to provide sustainable human settlements One cannot say they have been living in oblivion whereby new leadership was not anticipated Change is indeed needed in the province. Amongst many of the accolades that Ms Masimene has acquired throughout the years, she has been immensely involved in community activities such as social clubs and women empowerment programmes She further received awards like Women in Project Management, Best Student of the Year at Wits Technikon second Prize in Science and Mathematics Fair in High School and many more. She holds a Masters Degree in Construction Management and she is registered with various regulatory bodies Ms Masimene is also affiliated with the Chartered Institute of Building, South African Council for Project and Construction Management Profession and also sits as an evaluator Not forgetting that she is a mentor for the Council of the Built Environment In addition to that, she is an external Moderator for University of Johannesburg in the Department of Construction Management and Quantity Surveying.
